Compliance with International Standards

REACH

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, EC 1907/2006 is the European Union’s (EU) chemical substance regulatory framework. REACH requires Kingway to provide customers with sufficient information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) contained in products in concentration above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w) to allow safe use of the product. To comply with this requirement, Kingway certifies that to the best of its knowledge all products that it supplies are compliant.

RoHS

Kingway is committed to managing the use of chemical substances in accordance with governmental regulations, industry standards, and customer-specific requirements in order to protect the environment: • EU RoHS Compliance Status. EU RoHS status is declared per Directive 2011/65/ EU and its subsequent amendments, including the Directive EU 2015/863 which additionally prohibited four phthalates. Homogeneous materials of parts that are compliant to this legislation have less than 0.1% by weight each of lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, DBP, BBP, DIBP, DEHP, and 0.01% by weight of cadmium. In situations where an exemption applies, the preceding limits, corresponding to the exempted substance(s), may be higher.

Conflict Materials

As with most electronic products, Kingway’s contain various metals, including tin, and gold, (part of the so-called ‘3TG’ tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold) which originate from around the world. The 3TG metals have become known as ‘conflict minerals’ because they are sourced in part from the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

While Kingway is a privately held partnership, and not subject to the Conflict Minerals rules and reporting requirements, we understand that our customers may be and we are committed to helping our customers comply with their reporting requirements.  Periodically we conduct surveys of our suppliers, to ascertain / update their use of any Conflict Minerals in the materials they supply to us. The result of the surveys are our suppliers (i) do not use Conflict Minerals in the materials they supply to us, (ii) have no reason to believe the Conflict Minerals they use may have originated in the Covered Countries. Based on the information provided by our suppliers, and to the best of our knowledge, Kingway Electronics USA designates that all of our products are Compliant and conform to Conflict Materials restriction of 3TG from the DRC.

For these purposes, Conflict Materials Compliant means that our suppliers have confirmed the compliance status of the relevant products to us.
